Some leaked photos have ended up online of what looks to be a prototype Windows 7 phone created by Sony. Like I’ve said before, I’m not very familiar with Windows 7 as a mobile operating system, however one thing that makes this story interesting is that up until now, Sony really appeared to be drinking the Android koolaid. After all, they were one of the first companies that partnered with Google for their attempt at Google TV. (The jury is still out on that venture. ) Sony also has a very successful line of Android phones in their Xperia, Xperia play and the much anticipated Xperia S. Could Sony be be hedging their bets? With Google’s recent acquisition of Motorola they were very quick to say that it wouldn’t effect any Android partners in a negative fashion and on the same day, Sony stated they weren’t worried either. With that being said, a lot can change when running a corporation especially if Microsoft is offering you a great deal.
