Vinyl Nights / Flashing Lights Pt 2 – The Shoes!

Continued from Pt 1 Vinyl Nights / Flashing Lights Rachel applies her shoe knowledge to the streets of Guelph

Dudes always wonder why women are so hypnotized by shoes. It’s easy; shoes make the outfit, ALWAYS. Cosmopolitan cover models always wear heels even though their feet are never seen in the photo; this is because it automatically give the model better posture and, most importantly, increases her confidence. And lets face it, your legs are always going to look better in heels. Furthermore, in my experience, I tend to dance better in heels. All the sluttiest dance moves are easier to do in heels – ask any girl who’s been an extra in a hip-hop video. Example: “How Low” by Ludacris is playing. In a pair of flats, I will fall on my ass. In a pair of heels, I can somehow bounce my ass up and down off the floor. Don’t ask me why; it’s just the physics of fashion.

Here’s what I saw out on the town:

(Left to right, top to bottom) A. B. and C. Little black booties dominated the floor with edgy peep-toe style; D. Jimmy Choo inspired strappy black sandals; E. Dior knock-offs in sultry snake print; F. girly ruffles; G. Christian Louboutin inspired bow heels; H. more Jimmy Choo inspired hot white Saturday Night Fever sandals; I. and a pair of sleek wedges of which I were informed “were only available in England”, which I believe was this Brits way of saying “Don’t cop my style, bitch.”

I also captured Guelph version of hot celebrity style. Who says you can’t rock these styles on a budget?

(Clockwise from top left)

A. a pair of silver peep-toe heels worn by a beautiful girl who looked shockingly Kim Kardashian. B. bold Christian Louboutin bootie knock-offs as previously seen on professional Kanye West arm candy, Amber Rose (seen here dressed like a slutty teas saucer); C. I saw more knock-offs of the Dior “Extreme” gladiator, which are highly favoured by celebs and featured prominently on Carrie Bradshaw in the first Sex in the City movie; D. knock-offs of Gucci “Iman” sandals – towering platform sandals rocked by the likes of Beyonce;

We also got a video of my light up shoes, which we christened “The Billie Jean” shoes – which was quite appropriate as I heard “Billie Jean” both nights I wore them.

IT’S LIKE THEY SUMMONED THE SONG.

As for the dudes:

A lot of dudes got jealous of the attention I was giving to their ladies’ shoes, so I took some pictures of their shoes, too. Something for the fellas:

The conclusion I’ve come to is boys love sneakers; is it because they’re sneaky? You tell me boys. I didn’t come across any guys wearing 5” heels, but when I do, you better believe this paparazzo will be on it like Britney Spears on a bag cheetos and a extra large frappuccino.

Tomorrow I wrap up my weekend with a look at some of the nights clothing choices!
